A Classic Sonoma Wedding With a Few Twists

A Classic Sonoma Wedding With a Few Twists

By

Kelly and Victor's Sonoma wedding venue included an airplane hangar, a lake with swans, a vineyard, a river, and an adobe cowboy mansion. The bride personally designed a modern, sexy wedding dress with designer and friend, Cristina Robinson, from Yassan Designs. Kelly also hand spray-painted plastic toy animals to create the place card holders for the dinner guests.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were served with napkins featuring six fun facts about Kelly and Victor. For example, the first three questions Kelly asked Victor when they first met were, "Are you married? Do you have a girlfriend? Is there anyone who thinks they're your girlfriend?" The two specialty drinks both used a favorite ingredient of the bride and groom. The Kell-i-rita was a watermelon margarita and the Vic-i-tini was a cucumber martini. A pizza dinner was served via a mobile brick oven from a gourmet pizza restaurant.

Guests were also surprised with a hilarious customized wedding video highlighting Kelly and Victor’s story with featured “celebrity interviews." As part of the entertainment Kelly and Victor had a flipbook studio at the wedding reception where guests could create their own keepsake flipbooks from the wedding. The bride and groom spent six months preparing their wedding dance, to the song "My First, My Last, My Everything" sung by Barry White. The couple also danced to Pavarotti, a homage to Victor's father, a world famous opera singer.
