For Lindsay and Doug, the most important part of their wedding was keeping it intimate, inviting only family and very close friends. Knowing San Francisco summer weather always consists of fog and biting wind, they opted for a fall wedding, hoping the typical Indian Summer would prevail. It absolutely did and their wedding day ended up being one of the handful of San Francisco days where temperatures soar into the 90's and it stays warm throughout the night. Sipping champagne and chatting with friends on the balcony of the Penthouse Suite overlooking the City with not a breeze in the air was a highlight for the couple. They wanted to embrace the fall theme and chose colors reminiscent of the fall foliage in Maine where Doug grew up. The bridesmaid's dresse, giant yellow and orange balloons, and even the cake (which was a a pumpkin, chocolate chip, and caramel cream cake) followed this theme.
