The Oakland-born singer has performed at Bernie Sanders rallies, been to SXSW, and even debuted on Empire, and now you can see him for free this Friday in Oakland. The band will be playing soon-to-be-hits off their debut full-length LP "The Last Days of Oakland," which came out this week. Once you're there, feel free to enjoy other music, art, and food at Oakland's monthly Friday festival.

What: Calling all coffee addicts: Blue Bottle Coffee is joining forces with Mokhtar Alkhanshali, founder of SF-based Port of Mokha, for a match made in caffeine heaven. To celebrate the recent partnership, Blue Bottle founder James Freeman and Mokhtar Alkhanshali will host an intimate fireside chat with coffee-lovers in the South Bay.

The Famous Neal Cassady Letter on Display at City Lights Bookstore

What: A famous letter by Neal Cassady, which Jack Kerouac said influenced On The Road, was missing for decades before being uncovered just a couple years ago. The historic letter will be on display at City Lights Bookstore starting June 3 before being auctioned off in New York on June 16th—this may be your only chance to see this historic document!

A Rock & Roll History Talk with Ben Fong-Torres

What: Visit The Contemporary Jewish Museum this week to hear talks from Bay Area greats such as Bonnie Simmons, Ben Fong-Torres, Richard Gossett, and Wes "Scoop" Nisker. They'll be discussing how KSAN, a local FM radio station, built a community of rock & roll culture created through Bill Graham's productions. Admission to the museum is $15 for nonmembers and $5 for members.

Bad Girls Club Open Casting Call

What: Interested in living in a beautiful mansion and beating down on other girls?
