4 New Year’s Eve Dinner Deals

New Year’s Eve dinner out is typically a spendy affair, when every restaurant menu transforms into a pricy prix-fixe fandango. But fear not, we found a few options that look really fair, or seem like they will over-deliver for what they’re charging. Happy New Year!

This popular Lower Haight spot is offering a three-course prix-fixe menu for $49 per person, plus an optional $40 cocktail or wine pairing, and considering Kate Bolton is behind the amazing cocktails, you should go for it. The menu includes an appetizer choice of Dungeness crab, avocado, heirloom citrus, and almonds, and there’s duck breast for dinner. Oh, and eggnog cheesecake for dessert. Want. 598 Haight Street

Hog & Rocks

Another place that would be good for groups (and less of a date night) is Hog & Rocks, where chef Robin Song is putting out a five-course family-style meal for $65 per person. You get to start the night with oysters, pork rillettes, and winter root vegetable salad, and then tarragon pappardelle and roasted quail, plus dessert. You can be a baller and add a luxury supplement for $30, and beverage pairings for $35. 3431 19th Street

Rich Table

There are plenty of three- and four-course dinners being served on New Year’s Eve for $75 and up, but leave it to Evan and Sarah Rich to offer a seven-course menu for $95. Boom. And you know the food will rock. You can also opt for $75 wine pairings, or get a bottle of bubs for the table and you’re set. 199 Gough

Now, $95 isn’t an inexpensive menu. But when it comes with lobster, filet mignon tartare, and risotto with white truffles, well, that's a different story. Chef Mattia Marcelli’s four-course menu also has a choice of a braised pork chop, sea bass, or tortelloni with burrata, nettles, porcini, and pecorino di Filiano—hard decisions.
