A select group of San Francisco Academy of Artgraduates will debut their Fall 2012 collections this Friday at New York Fashion Week at Lincoln Center.

San Francisco, and the rest of the world, will be able to watch the eight women's collections and one men's collection through a live streaming video of the show. 

South Korean-born Donghyuk Dan Kim cites vintage military uniforms and the American West as inspiration. Rugged layers and iconic army green and dark brown make up garments made from sturdy wool, cotton, and leather.

Minimalism meets luxury in Xiang Zhang's collection. With an M.F.A. in Knitwear Design, Zhang turned to philosophy for fall, specifically Plato's philosophy that the highest form of beauty can be explained through mathematics. Calculated patterns lead to angular silhouettes combined with whisper soft fabrics like cashmere, mohair, and silk.

Amy Bond is one of the two designers who received their M.F.A. in Fashion Design through the Academy of Art's Online Fashion Program. Her fall collection melds complex shapes with flexible fabrics such as silk georgette and Schoeller-Aeroshell, a lightweight, breathable, water repellent fabric often used in aerobic sports clothing.

NYC-raised Jeanette Au has roots in the arts and an M.F.A. in Knitwear Design. Her history is evident in her textured knit collection inspired by Sergei Diagliav's Ballet Russe and the Russian artist and costume designer Leon Bakst's paintings.

Geometric shapes and printmaker Aaron Coleman influenced Wu Di's collection. The M.F.A Fashion Design student paired cashmere knits and double-faced wool with clean and crafty lines.
