Fashion in the Vineyards showcased two days of Sonoma Valley and San Francisco designers and merchants, benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley Teen Programs including College Bound and Career Launch. 

The event was a great success and over two hundred people came out to Nicholson Ranch Winery on Saturday evening, October 5 to enjoy the fashion show starting with an adorable show for youth featuring Sonoma retailers Half Pint and Sonoma Old School.  

The College Bound program is a proven and successful model for helping teens in Sonoma Valley find the inspiration and provide the skills and ability needed to attain academic success and continue their education. Participants receive one-on-one college and career advising, assistance in the college and financial aid application process, SAT prep, and tutoring. 

The program also offers College Tours and monthly Extracurricular Support workshops.  The Club’s latest focus is on Career Launch, an expansion of the College Bound program, which will introduce teens to a spectrum of professional opportunities, while offering the tools to develop their skills.   Whether teens are headed to a four-year school, planning to transfer from a junior college,  enrolling in a certificate program- or have no idea what they are going to do- College Bound & Career Launch can provide the information and support they need to be successful.

The main event opened with a swimwear show by Nomad Chic followed by fashions by Napa retailers Helen Lyall for Women and Scott Lyall for Men.  Local  Boys & Girls Club supporters were the star models.  Stylists from Catalina Skin & Body provided the fantastic hair and make-up… adding to the Punk theme.  Following the show, guests had a blast dancing to local cover rock band, Loosely Covered.

Sunday’s event was Sponsored and Presented by Gundlach Bundschu Winery and featured Sonoma retailers  Athleta, Perle, Studio 635, The Loop, Sonoma Old School featuring Obey & Nixon, Equestrian wear by Goode Rider, Nomad Chic, Sister’s Consignment, and  Andrea e. Soci  Custom Tailoring and Design.  Stylists from local salon Peace N Beauty completely transformed the models in keeping with the Punk theme.  Following the fashion show, guests danced to the Bay Area’s top cover band, Pop Rocks.
