Before he was lieutenant governor and offering to debate Donald Trump "anytime and anywhere," Gavin Newsom rested his perfectly coiffed head at this stately Buena Vista abode. 

While it's been quite some time since our handsome ex-mayor called this two-story mansion home (he and his equally attractive family fled to Marin County in 2011), there's no saying what kind of local history was made within the vividly painted walls or what government deals were decided over a glass of Scotch and a passed joint. 

After the Newsom family headed across the Golden Gate Bridge, the house on Masonic Avenue was owned and remodeled by local interior designer Candace Barnes, who sold it to the current owners, who injected the place with a lot of, umm, color.
