The luxury shopping experience climbs to new heights in the renovated Wilkes Bashford specialty store. A San Francisco mainstay since 1966, Bashford’s superb formal dress selection touts names such as Alexander McQueen, Brioni, Kiton, and Valentino, and needed its interior to match these classic, elegant styles.
Gensler designers reimagined this showroom by building a seven story “townhouse” that culminates in a penthouse lounge, complete with fireplace seating and full bar, a most welcoming sight for customers after a shopping marathon. They also moved the store’s main elevator and linked the first two levels with a majestic staircase reminiscent of one you would find in a grand foyer.
The redesign of Wilkes Bashford proudly features a swanky fireplace lounge complete with a bar because, let's face it, achieving "best dressed" can be a stressful process!
