Canela Bistro & Bar is offering Dad a special three-course prix fixe menu with optional beer pairing for brunch and dinner – because Dads love beer with breakfast, obvs. From 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on June 15, sit back, relax, and feast upon Padron peppers with flakey sea salt; a cup of seasonal gazpacho with croqueta; an artisan salad of mixed lettuces, garlic chips, sesame seeds, and drunken goat cheese to start. Then dig into a second course of three grilled and marinated dishes including shrimp pinchos with aioli, pork tenderloin pinchos with piquillo marmalade, and lamb pinchos with shoe string potatoes. Wente Vineyard’s Father’s Day gift package includes a round of golf and tickets to their Craft Beer Dinner on Friday, June 13th. For eats, chef Owen Nattrass will prepare a four-course dinner designed to highlight local Livermore Valley brews including Altamont Beer Works, Schubros Brewery, Working Man Brewing Company, and Eight Bridges Brewing. Reps from the breweries will also be at the dinner to provide tastings and talk about their beers, as chef Nattrass explains the reasoning behind each pairing.
