JT Snow's annual benefit in support of Wolfram Syndrome research is happening Sunday, June 15 and he's extending a personal invitation to our readers. What would you like people to know about the Jack and JT Snow Scientific Research Foundation and Wolfram Syndrome?

A few years ago, my niece Raquel was diagnosed with the most severe form of diabetes called Wolfram Syndrome, a rare disease that causes the brain to deteriorate rapidly by age ten. My sister Stephanie and I started the Snow Foundation to fund research to find effective drug treatments, which will also impact diabetes research. They are getting close to conducting small clinical trials.

What can people expect from this year's event? An amazing time for an amazing cause! 

The First Annual Snowman Classic is an "Iron Chef"-like cocktail competition featuring SF's best bartenders from SF institutions like Burritt Room & Tavern, Bourbon & Branch, Rickhouse, Tradition, Comstock Saloon, and more. 

Hunter Pence is going to be our Celebrity Bartender competitor; Dana Stubblefield has signed on as a judge; Chef Ryan Scott is emceeing. A bunch of current and former Giants players, such as Tim Lincecum, Randy Winn, Trailblazers Robin Lopez and many more are expected to come. Tickets are still available but selling fast!

If people aren't able to attend this year's event, what can they do to contribute to the cause?

What neighborhood do you currently call home? Would you ever move or are you happy in your 'hood? 

I live in the mid-Peninsula, although SOMA and AT&T Park will always be my second home. ;)

What's your hands-down, absolute favorite thing to eat in SF?

The Roasted Bell Pepper with asiago, mozzarella, bel parse, and tomato cream at Trattoria Contadina, located at Union and Mason.

What's your perfect night on the town?

Post-game, I enjoy simply going out to eat around the ball park at low-key places like Lucky Strike, MoMo’s, and Tres Agaves. In general I’m a pretty low key guy! I love spending time with friends and family, or bar-hopping on Union St. Mexican is my favorite cuisine, but I always search for something new.

When you need a low-key afternoon, where do you go for down time

I love going by the the water at Embarcadero. The Ferry Building, Fort Mason, Chrissy Field— those types of locations. I pretty much love anything outdoorsy or being by water; I grew up by the beach in SoCal so it reminds me of my childhood.

What's your favorite place to go on a day trip from the city?

I like to take the ferry cruise across to Sausalito, going by Alcatraz, strolling around Tiburon, and popping into Scoma's for a relaxing meal.
