Through the end of December, you'll be able to get your mitts on designs from the ethical clothing brand—made locally and in India—at a new pop-up called Perish_ables. The Western Addition space, owned by the much-loved Perish Trust, is airy, open and gallery-like…all the better for keeping Covid at bay.
A selection of feel-good, cozy and giftable styles and home goods line the space. Find the label's signature reversible henleys and pants for guys; wool and embroidered block-printed dresses and tops for the ladies; best-selling button-up shirts and jackets for all; plus scarves, hand-hammered brass pieces, pillows, and bedding. Urban wellness retreat Redmint opens in Cow Hollow. Let the mind-body healing begin.

These days, it's hard to imagine anyone not seeking some type of sanctuary. For those in search of relief for stressed-out skin, poor digestion, and/or the tightest of tight muscles, Redmint offers refuge. Opened on Union Street a few weeks ago, the 1,000-square-foot space has six treatment rooms and a serene atmosphere with a soothing neutral color scheme and a covered courtyard surrounded by greenery.
All the skincare treatments, wellness remedies, and products are inspired by traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Eastern beauty rituals. Not surprising given founder Helina Fan's experience as a local TCM practitioner and entrepreneur whose primary focus is balancing the mind-body connection. A sampling of what's on the Redmint menu: gua sha facials that help increase skin circulation and detoxification; lymphatic drainage, a gently rhythmic body treatment aiding with detox and rehabilitation; and LED LightStim therapy for pain and tension relief.

Whether or not we'll be able to ring in the new year with our far (or near) flung loved ones remains to be seen. Not up for debate: gifts for aforementioned folk need to be bought. With this in mind, Presidio Heights' The Barcode is hosting a holiday pop-up.
The goodies for sale are from local businesses, including jewelry from Collective Hearts, personal and home organizers from DwellWell, prints from scenic photographer Kurt Schwabe, beauty products crafted with cannabis, crystals and other clean actives from The Still, and delish vino from The Day Project Wines. As for the cozy and chic fashions, The Barcode has you covered.

Johnny Travis and Herbert Gracia's just-turned-one Mission shop is the real deal. The co-founders specialize in filling their small but mighty space with cool hoodies, graphic tees, pants, hats and sneakers from global menswear brands not seen everywhere. State of Flux's own label, which features limited monthly collections and one-of-a-kind designs, is also a major draw. (We're obsessed with the knit beanie adorned with the company mantra).
And while the coronavirus has put a halt to SOF's sewing, design and photography classes, an outdoor screen-printing workshop was approved by the city and is set for Saturday, November 21st. All supplies will be provided and safe 50-minute workshops ($45) are scheduled throughout the day. Get ready to flex (err, flux) your creativity and learn the correct techniques a la screen-printing, as well as heat pressing, chain stitching, and more. Reserve your spot.
