This couple showed their love not for just for each other, but also for the city they call home.

Tina Huynh was living the dream, traveling the world alone, when David Fortune just happened to meet her in Argentina on the suggestion of a mutual friend. They traveled together for nearly a month, and later she moved in with him while he wrapped up classes at New York University. But soon it was back to San Francisco, where Huynh had grown up.

During their first year together, the two wrote vows to one another via email. Fortune had even casually asked her multiple times to marry him, but it wasn't until he brought a ring home that they made it official.

There were three priorities for the big day: good food, music, and booze. Traditional elements like speeches, first dances, and bouquet throwing weren't for them—they wanted to get right to the party. While they did away with the typical rituals, the lovebirds did maintain some classic elements including formal attire in black and white, with bridesmaids in knee-length charcoal frocks, and a ceremony. They took to the Loews Regency for an all-inclusive venue to get ready, wed, party, and finally sleep. Out on the terrace, they kept the decor low-key, with floral adornments on the chairs as well as a white runner down the aisle. Otherwise, they let the cityscape stand on its own in a sparkling backdrop that including the looming Transamerica Building.

Following the ceremony, the couple hopped on a trolley for portraits and a quick ride around before heading back to the hotel for their grand entry. The San Francisco theme permeated the reception: Graphics of the Golden Gate Bridge illustrted place cards as well as the cake. To top it off, they had a seven-piece band play so they could dance the night away.
