Wedding Inspiration: Victorian Stylings at SF's University Club

By

Drawn to the ambience of San Francisco's University Club and the sensation of being transported back in time by its intricate Victorian architecture, woodwork, and vintage decor, Alyssa Huang and Timur Alperovich set the stage for a big day with details as charming as the venue.

The bride wore a classic gown with French lace embroidery and a full, frothy skirt and a sparkling crown perched atop her loose up-do. The groom was equally dapper in a classic black tux accented with a cream tie and a dash of humor in a his Pikachu tie clip. Their wedding party exuded the same sense of old-world elegance—groomsmen were dressed to match Alperovich, while bridesmaids were in powder blue beaded frocks.

While nearly everything matched the theme, the couple decided to highlight their individual styles with different rings—his was a silver band, while hers was gold with a brilliant sapphire. They had their first look in the club's library, immersed in wall-to-wall shelves of old books. For the ceremony, the two exchanged vows in front of an antique fireplace, beside a grandfather clock, which instilled a dreamy, home-wedding vibe.

Afterwards, they popped out to the balcony to capture their post-ceremonial glow, and even took a quick stroll through the city for a few quintessential San Francisco shots. The festivities continued as the reception began with a three-layered cake, all the macarons, and dancing into the wee hours of the night.
