Weekend Guide: 420 Games + SF Street Food Festival

So much to-do, so little time.

2015 Street Soccer USA National Cup

What: Corporate and amateur soccer teams alike take to the streets this weekend to compete in the annual Street Soccer Tournament and fight for the title of Bay Area champions. Players have been training the whole year for this match, which will take place in the heart of San Francisco's Civic Center Plaza. Enjoy food trucks and live music as the players leave it all on the field.

When: The matches will begin at 9am on August 16.

Where: Civic Center Plaza adjacent from City Hall.

Chinatown Music Festival

What: In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco is hosting the Chinatown Music Festival for its sixth consecutive year. Guests can expect a fun day full of music, dance, crafts, games, and cultural diversity in one of SF's most historic neighborhoods. As with every Chinatown Music Festival, this year’s event also seeks to raise awareness about ongoing issues affecting the local community: watch as The Jon Jang Warriors explore the high incidence of violence against ethnic minorities across America.

When: You'll be able to hear the music starting at 11am on August 15.

Where: Join the fun at Portsmouth Square, between Kearny & Clay Streets.

Robin Williams Mini Film Festival

What: San Franciscans are gathering at SoMa StrEat Park to laugh, celebrate, and remember the comic genius of Robin Williams at the 2nd Annual Robin Williams Mini Film Festival, featuring 10+ hours of his classic roles. All films will be running back-to-back, so the start times are not exact and film titles and order subject to change.

When: August 15 starting at noon.

Where: Experience the wonder of Mr. Williams at SoMa StrEat Food Park, 428 11th Street.

The 420 Games

What: Think stoners can't run? The 420 Games was established to break down the stereotypes used to portray those who use cannabis as part of a healthy and responsible lifestyle. Cheer from the finish line as stoners of all kinds participate in races, challenges, obstacle courses, and more. Then bend an elbow at the Lagunitas beer garden. You deserve it.

When: Saturday, August 15 from 8am to 2pm

Where: Music Concourse Dr

“Swap-O-Rama-Rama” DIY Workshop & Clothing Swap
