CHEER FROM THE STANDS
What: Corporate and amateur soccer teams alike take to the streets this weekend to compete in the annual Street Soccer Tournament and fight for the title of Bay Area champions. Players have been training the whole year for this match, which will take place in the heart of San Francisco's Civic Center Plaza. Enjoy food trucks and live music as the players leave it all on the field.
When: The matches will begin at 9am on August 16.
Where: Civic Center Plaza adjacent from City Hall.
What: In celebration of its 50th anniversary, the Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco is hosting the Chinatown Music Festival for its sixth consecutive year. Guests can expect a fun day full of music, dance, crafts, games, and cultural diversity in one of SF's most historic neighborhoods. As with every Chinatown Music Festival, this year’s event also seeks to raise awareness about ongoing issues affecting the local community: watch as The Jon Jang Warriors explore the high incidence of violence against ethnic minorities across America.
When: You'll be able to hear the music starting at 11am on August 15.
Where: Join the fun at Portsmouth Square, between Kearny & Clay Streets.
SETTLE IN FOR A MOVIE MARATHON
What: San Franciscans are gathering at SoMa StrEat Park to laugh, celebrate, and remember the comic genius of Robin Williams at the 2nd Annual Robin Williams Mini Film Festival, featuring 10+ hours of his classic roles. All films will be running back-to-back, so the start times are not exact and film titles and order subject to change.
When: August 15 starting at noon.
Where: Experience the wonder of Mr. Williams at SoMa StrEat Food Park, 428 11th Street.
What: Think stoners can't run? The 420 Games was established to break down the stereotypes used to portray those who use cannabis as part of a healthy and responsible lifestyle. Cheer from the finish line as stoners of all kinds participate in races, challenges, obstacle courses, and more. Then bend an elbow at the Lagunitas beer garden. You deserve it.

What: Swap-O-Rama-Rama is a nonprofit community clothing swap with a do-it-yourself workshop to explore the process of reuse and collective creativity. Start cleaning out your closet, because every third Saturday of the month, you can bring clothes and ideas, and swap it like it’s hot. Plus learn DIY tips for repurposing anything (and we mean, anything).
When: Every third Saturday of the month.

EAT + DRINK
What: Over 100 owner-operated food businesses will be representing the best of the Bay for a free-to-enter celebration of hard work and well made food. Enjoy live music from Talk In Tongues, Kendra Mckinley, Matt Jaffe & The Distractions, Sugar Candy Mountain, Crashing Hotels, and Doncat. Make sure to check out the Whole Foods Market Hops & Crafts Beer Garden, and their Live Cooking Stage with demos from local chef stars.
When: Make sure to be there August 15. Don't worry about showing up late because it's going on all day.
Where: Food will served with a smile directly at Pier 70 on 22nd Street.
