City Youth Now Spring Gala: A Night of Promise

Join some of San Francisco's most influential power players on May 9th at the Bently Reserve, when City Youth Now honors Supervisor Mark Farrell for his dedication to the lives of the city's youth.

Event chairs including Chief Greg Suhr of the San Francisco Police Department will welcome guests to mingle with local, city, and state officials, community fixtures, and Bay Area business leaders. You might spark conversations with honorary event committee members including Mayor Ed Lee; Assistant US Attorney Annemarie Conroy; current and former SF Supervisors Malia Cohen, Sean Elsbernd, and Katy Tang; angel investor Ron Conway; San Francisco Fire Department Chief Joanne Hayes-White; and either John Duggan, Sr. or John Duggan, Jr.—both proprietors of Original Joe's.

City Youth Now's Spring Gala will kick off at 6 p.m. on May 9th at the Bently Reserve with a cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception hosted by Chopin Vodka and E&O Asian Kitchen along with a silent auction. A gourmet-plated dinner will follow with a live auction—standout items include a curated art piece from internationally acclaimed artist Ian Ross, incorporating San Francisco's skyline—emceed by Radio DJ Paul Tonelli of 107.7 The Bone. The event continues throughout the evening with dancing to live music by Pure Ecstasy, and a late night whiskey bar!

During the gala, academic scholarships will be presented to foster children and probation youth who have shown extraordinary effort and dedication to their education and are continuing on to college. The entire evening is dedicated to raising funds for the personal development and health of San Francisco's neediest children.

Since 1950, City Youth Now has supported youth in the San Francisco foster care and juvenile justice systems by providing funds for services and programs that promote stability and personal growth. The funds raised from City Youth Now’s annual Spring Gala are essential in helping the organization to provide much-needed services to children within the community.
