Countdown to Handmade Nation: Diana Fayt

By

First in our look at vendors participating in the upcoming Handmade Nation event is Bay Area native Diana Fayt. Each piece of Fayt's handmade ceramic art requires 13 steps to complete, and takes as much as seven hours from start to finish (and that's not including kiln time). You can see the attention to detail in every aspect of her work, from the freehand illustrations that adorn many of the pieces, to the lead-free glazes in rich, deep hues. If you're not able to make it to the Handmade Nation screening and sale at Mezzanine next week, not to worry. Diana Fayt's work is available online from her Etsy shop, and you can get more information on upcoming sales and events she's be participating in at her blog.
