Brunch without booze is just a sad, late breakfast.

Foie Gras & Wine Pairing at Dirty Habit

Foie Gras is legal again in San Francisco(!), and Dirty Habit is celebrating with a five course Celebration of Foie Gras tasting menu including wine pairings. For $140, you'll start with oysters poached in foie gras fat paired with JJ Prum Wehlener Sohnnenur Riesling Spatlese Mosel 2004, before moving on to foie gras torchon with jerk spices and guava jelly, matched with Ken Forrester “The FMC” Chenin Blanc Stellenbosch 2011. Next comes foie gras butter with tajarin pasta, white truffle, and parmesan served with Eyrie Chardonnay Willamette Valley 1999. The main course features seared foie gras with aged ribeye, potato, and black truffle paired with Luigi Baudana Ceretta Barolo 2001. For dessert, you'll have foie gras bavaroise with passionfruit curd, cherimoya, and walnut served with Dagueneau Jardin de Babylon Jurancon 2009. The Celebration of Foie Gras tasting menu is available Monday through Saturday during dinner hours, from 5 to 10pm. Dirty Habit takes reservations for tables of 2-8 via Open Table and also sets aside a number of tables (and all bar seats) for walk-ins. 12 4th Street

Hapa Ramen's Hawaiian-Asian Inspired Cocktail List

Veteran bar experts Justin Lew and Ian Scalzo, both formerly of Bourbon & Branch, have created a Hawaiian-Asian-inspired cocktail program to compliment Hapa Ramen chef Richie Nakano's irreverently hearty bowls of ramen. The new cocktail list runs the gamut from fruit forward to smoky to spicy. Our favorites include the Stingray (Aperol, lemon, wasabi honey syrup, star anise tincture, sparkling wine), Beefcake (Campari, plum wine, Dolin Sweet Vermouth, cinnamon tincture, soda water), Tropic Thunder (bourbon, banana liqueur, cacao-infused angostura, black sea salt tincture) and White Oak (Cynar, Scotch, cherry heering, ginger syrup, angostura). Hapa Ramen is open late night, Sunday through Wednesday from 6pm to midnight and Thursday through Saturday from 6pm to 1am. 2293 Mission Street

Guests purchase a ticket and create their own one- or two-day journey through wine country, visiting any of the 140 participating wineries throughout the Alexander, Dry Creek, and Russian River Valleys between the hours of 11am and 4pm. Each winery will offer at least one specially-priced item for the weekend, such as wine, food pairings, gourmet snacks, or wine country gifts. Tickets are available at the door of any participating winery: $60 for Saturday and Sunday, $45 for Sunday only, and $10 for designated drivers.
