All-You-Can-Eat at Showdogs
Chow down on dogs, onion rings and microbrews—all for a good cause! On March 25th, Showdogs is hosting an all-you-can-eat bonanza. For $20, you’ll have unlimited access to beer, gourmet sausages, bbq fries and onion rings. There will also be live music and an auction of gift certificates to both Show Dogs and sister restaurant Foreign Cinema. Proceeds will benefit the nearby SF City Academy.
Beer Tasting at 18 Reasons
Get sudsy with Heather Castro from City Beer Store and Sarah Bouldin, Bi-Rite's beer buyer. The dynamic dup will be pouring ales of all types from San Diego-based craft brewers AleSmith at 18 Reasons. The event begins runs from 7-9 p.m. and tickets are $10 for non-members ($5 for members).
Kitchen Table Talks: Underground Food
On March 29, join in a discussion about the state of San Francisco’s “underground food scene.” On hand to spearhead the conversation will bebacon-wrapped hot dog vendor Lucero Arrellano, Leif Hedendal, a local chef who works with Outstanding in the Field, and Iso Rabins of ForageSF. The talk begins at 6 p.m. and will be held at Viracocha, 998 Valencia St. A $10 donation is suggested.
A Magazine-Worthy Feast with Bar Tartine and Scribe Winery
The principals of Scribe Winery and Bar Tartine, fresh from a feature in Food & Wine magazine, are preparing a very special feast on March 29 with all the recipes that ran with the story—mussels with rouille, pork spareribs, guinea hen with braised vegetables and, for dessert, a Tartine-worthy strawberry tart. The food will be paired with the Scribe Winery’s finest selections.
