Beer lovers, rejoice. Three of Oakland’s top breweries (Linden Street Brewing, Drake’s and Ale Industries) are teaming up with Oakland’s Dine and Unwind Series to bring you the inaugural Beer Maker Dinner at The Forge. Each month, the series will highlight one of Oakland’s most innovative culinary destinations. With wood-fired pizzas and specialty beers on tap, it’s an event your stomach will never forget. As an added benefit, 15% of all proceeds will be donated to 51Oakland, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational, artistic and musical opportunities to Oakland youth. Celebrate Abbot Cellar’s first birthday with a night of tastes, sips and more! Along with Abbot’s regular four-course tasting menu, there will be a list of unique beers on tap. All dinner guests will also receive free treats throughout the night, including Chef Adam Dulye’s signature bone marrow on rye with pastrami, and birthday cake truffles following each guest’s meal. 5:30 pm-close. Celebrate the best of the best in the local food scene at the 2013 James Beard Awards: The Bay Area’s Big Winners. It’s honoring the local chefs and restaurateurs who took home the gold at this year’s Oscars of the food world. Enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a panel discussion on why the Bay Area is one of the best places on this planet to cook and eat. Twenty-five lucky guests will even have the pleasure of eating a three-course meal at the iconic Restaurant Michael Mina. The Ritz-Carlton San Francisco has partnered with Bay Area broadcast celebrity Liam Maylem for Inside the Kitchen culinary tours, a series of exclusive, behind-the-scenes excursions to showcase the culinary spirit of this foodie city. Each tour features an exploration of San Francisco neighborhoods, carefully chosen tastes along the way, and a four-course group dinner at Parallel 37 by Chef Michael Rotondo at the end of the evening.
