Foodie Agenda: Celebrate Ceviche Day & Salsipuedes' Pre-Opening Sale

Toast to summer with these foodie-friendly offerings.

Spoonbar Wine and Dine Wednesdays

Wednesday Wine Country excursions just got a little sweeter courtesy of Spoonbar. The Healdsburg h2hotel's chic and airy restaurant is celebrating summer with $29 prix fixe menus every Wednesday night. Each menu features seasonal and locally-sourced appetizers and rich entrees like roasted duck breast with blueberries, and is capped off with a sweet ice cream flight. Bonus points: you can drink the spoils of your day for no cost—although it boasts an extensive wine list, Spoonbar waives the corkage fee on Wednesdays for any liquid goodies you may have acquired during your travels. //219 Healdsburg Avenue, Healdsburg

Celebrate National Ceviche Day at Copita Tequileria y Comida and E&O Kitchen and Bar

Ceviche is the perfect summertime dish—the flavorful blend of raw fresh fish, citrus, and spices offers a refreshing and cool accompaniment to our not-so-blistering San Francisco summers. Two local restaurants are honoring National Ceviche Day (June 28) with their own spins on the classic Latin American offering: Sausalito's Copita Tequileria goes the more traditional route with their Ceviche Trio ($28), while E&O Kitchen and Bar offers a green curry and coconut flavored ceviche for an Asian take on the dish. Salsipuedes Pre-Opening Sale

Oakland's much anticipated Longfellow restaurant, Salsipuedes, is set to open its doors in early July. Before the big debut of the "California Rustic" menu, Jay Porter, Luis Abundis, and the rest of the Bay Area culinary star-studded crew are offering pre-purchased restaurant credit to ensure that they "have enough cash on hand to do things right." In addition to restaurant credit, the two tiers of pre-purchased credit offer the exclusive chance to make early reservations at the sure-to-be-poppin' restaurant, Salsipuedes merchandise, and event invitations. If you can't hold out much longer for offerings like Rabbit Escabeche with Charred Scallop and Pacific Octopus with Oregon Shrimp, Pork Cracklings, and Mozzarella, getting your name on the list of believers is the next best thing. //4201 Market, Oakland, opens in July.
