Lake Tahoe Restorative Arts & Yoga Festival returns for 2019

By

This May, the third annual Lake Tahoe Restorative Arts & Yoga Festival is set to bring us a weekend of wellbeing in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, just steps from Lake Tahoe.

Hosted at the historic Granlibakken Tahoe resort, this one-of-a-kind event features 15 workshops over three days, plus daily meals and lodging onsite. This festival is designed for all levels—from wellness retreat newbies to seasoned yogis. You'll connect with yoga instructors, healers, and wellbeing professionals from Tahoe's vibrant wellness community.

The festival program is designed to complement the natural surroundings of Granlibakken Tahoe. The indoor and outdoor workshops pay homage to the resort's 74-acre wooded mountain valley, which lends a sense of peace and serenity to the weekend and promises an immersive and rejuvenating experience.

The onsite day spa, pool and hot tub offer ample opportunity to relax throughout the weekend, while proximity to plentiful nearby hiking trails, Lake Tahoe, and the Tahoe National Forest encourage exploration.

Workshops range from forest-medicine hikes to immersive yoga classes and explore many modalities. Create your own signature scent at an aromatherapy session, or enjoy the vibrational therapy of a sound healing meditation. Learn how to do Thai massage, or enjoy a tea ritual that focuses on the health benefits of different types of tea. Many forms of yoga—including Kundalini, Iyengar, Vinyasa, and Hatha—are also in the program. All workshops welcome participants of all abilities and walks of life, and are designed to be playful, rejuvenating, and welcoming.

Come for the full weekend, or attend a single class.

// All workshops and meals are included in the $299 weekend rate, and lodging is available onsite at discounted rates. See the full schedule and book your retreat at granlibakken.com.
