On April 26, discarded clothing donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco was transformed into stunning fashions, decorative accessories and exquisite home décor at the annual Discarded to Divine fashion show. Continuing with tradition, this year’s designers were inspired by items in the de Young Museum’s collection, which this year included the popular visiting exhibit, The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gautier: From Sidewalk to Catwalk.

Over 500 tickets were sold this year, with additional funds raised from a silent auction and from a live/runway auction, all benefiting the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco’s programs enriching our community by providing an essential safety net for thousands of men, women and children to overcome poverty, homelessness, addiction and domestic violence.
