Chris and Liz wanted a quintessential San Francisco wedding to celebrate the city where they met by chance two years ago.
Liz lived in SF for seven years before she decided to drop everything and move to Hawaii with her best friend. The same day she made the decision, she headed to Lion's Pub to celebrate ... and met Chris. They dated for two months before Liz packed her bags and headed to Hawaii. Chris kept up the communication, and after three months on the island, Liz decided to move back to SF to give their relationship a shot. Two years later, they got married.
Chris is from Pittsburgh and most of his family had never been to California, so the couple wanted a quintessential San Francisco experience for their nuptials. The wedding took place in North Beach, but kept things familiar by hosting a rehearsal dinner at the Pittsburgh-themed bar Giordano Brothers where Chris' grandfather played the accordion during the meal.
On the big day, the newlyweds honored both cities with a jaunt around the iconic SF cable cars and a traditional Pittsburgh cookie bar cooked by Chris' aunts in lieu of a cake.
