Imagine hanging from the roof of a San Francisco building alongside Giants mascot Lou Seal with the entire city watching--not your average fundraiser. But that's exactly what Outward Bound is offering local philanthropic daredevils on March 27th.

The institute focuses on changing lives through challenge and discovery, and is known world-wide for using boundary pushing experiences to build strength in character and instill a desire to serve the greater good.

Outward Bound California's City Skyline Challenge is expected to be an event like no other, giving participants the chance to experience an exhilarating 230 foot rappel from the roof of the Hyatt Regency at 5 Embarcadero Center. In boldly going Over the Edge, the hope is that participants discover that they are capable of achieving more than they thought possible.

How do you become a rappeler? Raise $1,500. The funds raised will dramatically increase the amount of low-income students who are able to participate in Outward Bound programs throughout the state, instilling in them life skills like grit, determination, and resilience.

The two-day City Skyline Challenge will draw media and celebrity participation, including San Francisco Board of Supervisors President David Chiu, SF Giants mascot Lou Seal, and former 49er Offensive Linesman and 3X Super Bowl Champion Guy McIntyre.

Sponsors include: 7x7, Wells Fargo, Hyatt Regency, Planet Granite, Fort Point Capital, the St. Francis Foundation, Aspiriant, PR and Company, and Organic Events
