I can’t believe how many new root beers you can find on the market these days. As my ultimate hangover cure, root beer was a sight to be seen in my fridge the other morning.



This is an interesting one from Milwaukee, Sprecher. One thing I liked about it was its 16-oz bottle, something you don’t see every day, but I appreciated those extra four ounces. Made with honey and vanilla and a raft of secret botanicals, it’s creamy but still had a nice edge. Its flavors were intense and compact, so it’s sort of a root beer with a punch. Pairing? Hot pastrami with provolone and mustard. You can find this root beer at Safeway throughout California.
