Saturday: The Fifth Annual Dogfest in Duboce Park

By

The rain is reportedly tapering off on Saturday, just in time for a fun frolic with your four-legged friends at Dogfest, the annual benefit for McKinley Elementary School!

Head over to the lovely Duboce Park for a free event that includes face painting, games, yummy bites, an extensive auction, and a trove of vendors.

The highlight of the event has to be the ever-popular Everyday Dog Show, which presents pre-registered contenders vying for recognition in categories including Best Coat, Best Trick, Best Bark, Best Look Alike, Best Costume and more. The judging panel is made up of a host of Bay Area dog-lovers including Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go’s, author Dave Eggers, author and performer Beth Lisick, District 8 Supervisor Scott Wiener, and other local favorites. Returning to emcee the show is the witty and ever-effervescent Daniel Handler (author and official representative of Lemony Snicket.)

Saturday, April 14, 2012, 11am-4pm, Duboce Park, San Francisco. Free admission; food and games for purchase.
