Snag A One-of-a-Kind Tote Designed by AAU Textile Design Students

By

Eco-friendly shopping just got a lot cooler. The Academy of Art Textile Design students have yet again created one-of-a-kind pieces of art from a blank canvas, this time in the form of organic cotton shopping bags printed with water-based ink. Inside, you'll find thoughtful 'care instructions' asking the owner to use the bag until it's threadbare and then repurpose it into art for your home.

Your first chance to score one of the limited-edition bags is tomorrow evening from 7-9 p.m. at 601 Brannan Street, where you'll find them for one week only. In addition, Eco Citizen has selected 23 of the totes to be sold in their boutique.

We definitely advise getting yours early because with just over a hundred totes priced at $40 each (with all profits going toward the student scholarship fund), we see them flying off the shelves like half-off Louboutins.
