Los Angelenos Rilo Kiley played a rousing show at the Warfield with numbers both new and old including "The Moneymaker" and "Does He Love You." Assistant editor Hayley Elisabeth Kaufman writes in the Hot List blog that their latest album Under the Blacklight "is filled with the often hard-to-achieve dichotomy of irresistible pop music with confessional yet saucy lyrics and deeper, darker themes; a combination that, when done right, encompasses the allure of dark and light or good and evil." Folk rocker-cum-actor Johnathan Rice and Grand Ole Party, which just released its Humanimals album this month, opened the show.
