CRAWL

North Beach Art Crawl

What: Every first Friday of the month, North Beach galleries, bars, and restaurants open their doors to visitors for a self-guided art tour of the historic district. A number of galleries and businesses will be participating this month, all offering special events to showcase the great diversity and art scene North Beach has to offer. When: Friday, Nov. 6th, 6-9pm

TASTE

Cooking Demo & Tasting with Joanne Weir

What: With a beautiful backdrop of the San Francisco Bay, the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market hosts seasonal cooking demos and tastings for onlooking foodies. This Saturday, CUESA is welcoming chef Joanne Weir to wow us with her culinary skills. Known for her PBS series Cooking with Confidence, as well as her role as executive chef in Sausalito's Copita Tequileria y Comida restaurant, Weir will be cooking up some delicious samples and offering recipes to visitors. Bon appétit. 

When: Saturday, Nov. 7th, 11am

Where: CUESA Classroom - look for the white tents in front of the Ferry Building. 

CREATE

The Urban Epicurean Festival

What: This festival will highlight local makers, brewers, and farmers featuring gourmet food trucks, workshops, handmade jewelry, local libations, and more. The full line-up of artisan vendors is sure to please all DIY lovers. Admission is free and open to the public, but workshops require an RSVP. As an added bonus, the first 200 shoppers will receive a complimentary, and adorable, tote bag.

When: November 7th - 8th 

Where: The Fort Mason Center (2 Marina Blvd, San Francisco)

SNAP

50/50 Poetry Nights

What: The Tenderloin Museum is celebrating 50 years with poetry readings from past and present voices. Hosted by Kearny Street Workshop, the readers will include Francois Luong, Jason Bayyani, and legacy poet Truong Tran. Admission is free, but an RSVP is required here

When: Tuesday, Nov. 10th, 7:30pm

Where: The Tenderloin Museum (398 Eddy St, San Francisco)

EXPLORE

Free National Parks Day

What: In celebration of Veterans Day, The National Parks are offering free admission to their gorgeous ecosystems all day. Play hooky and explore Muir Woods' gorgeous redwoods, or even take a day trip to Yosemite, they're waiving their usual $20 car fee. Breathe in that fresh November air and take in the smells of fall.
