All you need to know for a mountain getaway is now at your fingertips via the Lake Tahoe App.

The Tahoe TV-launched mobile app gives smartphone users all the latest information on the Lake Tahoe area, including live webcams, Tahoe-specific weather forecasts and radar and satellite imagery, resort and snow conditions, videos, news feeds and updates, a business directory, social sharing and an event calendar. In the coming weeks, the app developers will ramp up a Tahoe Deals section, which will give users exclusive offers and discounts.

"Our goal is to help connect visitors and locals with all the region has to offer," Tahoe TV president Eric Brandt said. "We're here to share the Tahoe experience, and this app is a big step in delivery."

The Lake Tahoe App, available for both iPhone and Android devices, is only 99 cents at the App Store or Google Play.

Another mobile application that has some Lake Tahoe-specific content is the just-released Reno Tahoe USA app, which is available for free at the App Store or Google Play. Though the app is mostly for and about Reno, it does provide snow and resort conditions in the Tahoe area.
