Jamie and Hiland (Eli) met in San Francisco through mutual friends three years ago. It was only Eli's third day in the city.
Jamie and Eli live in the Mission, but they always knew that they had to get married in Sonoma, one of their favorite places. Chef Maldonaldo, who catered the wedding reception in Healdsburg, also cooked for Jamie and Eli on the night they met at Aziza in SF. Their nuptials were simple and modern with classic touches, and the wedding site was small and intimate with the newlywed's closest family and friends present.
Eli is an avid cyclist and cute nods to cycling were present throughout the evening. The bride and groom also love food and cocktails. The reception meal was a four-course dinner served family stye, the place cards were pinned into green apples, and the wedding favors were personalized mason jars with a mini bottle of Fernet inside. Every layer of the fabulous cake was a different flavor (carrot cake, almond cake with strawberries, and red velvet with salted caramel). The night was filled with laughter and ended with a lot of dancing and late night pizzas.
