San Francisco's twenty-somethings gathered at the W Hotel this past Saturday to party for the greater good at the 2014 San Francisco Social. Nearly 600 attendees slipped into their finest and danced the night away, pausing to bid on a myriad of silent auction packages, sip on a cocktail, and take in the risqué-chic performance by Epic Entertainment.
The evening's festivities were part of a collective effort to raise funds for local at-risk youth at the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center (SF CAPC). The mission of the SF CAPC is to prevent child abuse and reduce its devastating impact by empowering children, supporting families, and fostering hope, and this year's SF Social raised over $85,000 to help SF CAPC further its mission.
The San Francisco Social board and committee work year-round to plan a powerful event that lasts for one single evening. With collaboration and support of companies of the likes of Benefit Cosmetics, Airbnb, and W Hotels Worldwide, the 25 board and committee members introduce their peers to local non-profits in hopes of spreading the importance of philanthropic work.
