Spare the Air, Confess Your Carpooling Secrets

Today is Spare the Air Day, which means you should feel really guilty for driving, smoking, burning firewood, roasting a pig or attempting a hair-tease. And if you can't avoid getting behind the wheel, you should carpool. You'll save gas money, spare the air and maybe even meet your early-morning soulmate. To encourage sharing rides, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District is running a contest called "Confessions of a Carpooler." It's like Taxi Cab Confessions but even jucier!  Upload a 3 minute video of your best carpooling story, and you could win some pretty snazzy car-pooling-related prizes: an iPod touch, a Solio solar mobile charger and a WiFi hotspot for your car by AutoNet mobile. The contest runs through September 30, so get in there!
