The California Academy of Sciences is Throwing One Hell of a Party

By

Science meets the SF party scene this week in Golden Gate Park and you're officially invited. The California Academy of Sciences is set to host its annual Big Bang Gala and Party After Dark fundraiser next Thursday, April 24 in celebration of their core mission to explore, explain, and sustain life.

In addition to an open bar, Gala and Party After Dark guests will enjoy live DJ sets by acclaimed indie rock bands Ra Ra Riot and Youngblood Hawke, and a silent disco with the Motown Monday DJs. Gourmet food trucks including mobile pizzeria Del Popolo and dessert specialists Cupkates will be onsite along with Shelter Co. luxe camp-style lounges, and photo booths.

For those unfamiliar with the annual event, the Big Bang Gala is a fundraiser in support of the Academy’s world-class research and education programs, aimed at increasing public education of vital scientific topics. It gets pretty crazy, so be sure to get tickets.

Be there on April 24 from 8:30pm to midnight, only if you're 21+! Parents, leave the kids at home for this one. Get tickets and additional info here

See you there, science (and party) lovers!
