Supermodel mom Cindy Crawford is the latest eco-spokesperson on our radar. She recently announced Thirsty for Change, a collaboration with PUR Water Filtration, designed to encourage people to curb their use of disposable plastic water bottles (keep in mind that there is six times as much plastic in the ocean as there is plankton). All the proceeds from the sale of the Cindy-promoted “Thirsty for Change” Sigg bottle go towards Children’s Safe Drinking Water, providing children worldwide with clean water. The bottles, combined with a water filtration system, can cut down on more than just the amount of trash entering our landfills (a staggering 38 million water bottles last year alone): you can save money and drink your eight "glasses" per day while giving less fortunate parched people a little refreshment too!
