The calendar may say it's still a few months away from winter, but it's never too early to get prepared for the approaching Tahoe's ski and snowboard season. Toss in a day at the beach and some danceable Latin tunes, and you all the makings for the annual Winter Preview Expo.
The free event, which will be held at Commons Beach in Tahoe City on Sunday, August 26, focuses on the multitude of wintertime options around Big Blue. Mountain resorts such as Alpine Meadows, Homewood, Squaw Valley, Northstar, Kirkwood, Heavenly, Sugar Bowl and Tahoe City Cross-Country will have representatives on hand to fill you in on what to look for this coming season at their respective hills.
And folks from Tahoe Forest Physical Therapy in Tahoe City will discuss winter sports health and show you how to get fit for your days on the slopes.
While satisfying your snow-time jones you can groove to the Afro-Brazilian sounds of SambaDa, who will perform from 4-7 pm as part of the weekly–and free–Concerts at Commons Beach schedule.
