Face it: It's officially holiday season. Local label Talking House Productions is behind the new compilation A Foggy Holiday: Carols from the SF Scene (which features indie rock versions of classics like "Holly Jolly Christmas" and "Baby It's Cold Outside" from bands including Scissors for Lefty, Panda, Poor Bailey and Persephone's Bees among others), and to celebrate the new record they've invited some of its stars to play their tunes live at a record release party at Bottom of the Hill. Join Cold Hot Crash, Elephone, Built for the Sea and The Hundred Days on November 30 at Bottom of the Hill. Because what better way to get in the spirit than by hooking up with your favorite local bands? (In a "going-to-a-concert-where-they-cover-holiday-tunes" sense, of course. Though while you're there, who knows what could happen under the mistletoe?).
