The 210-foot iconic tower stands as a beacon in the northern end of the city, something we pass everyday but many locals have never been in it or know much about it. The tower, which took five years to build, was funded with money left by local eccentric Lillie Hitchcock Coit and bequeathed to San Francisco in 1933. Something to check out for art lovers is the 27 fresco murals inside the tower. We checked out the tower and its surroundings to bring you a slideshow.
