Iconic charms often strike us as a little too charming for their own good. So you can imagine our surprise when we stopped by Tiffany & Co. earlier this month to view the new Tiffany Keys Collection and (gasp!) actually got a sparkle in our eye to rival the diamonds dotting the silver, gold and platinum beauties all around us.
Launched in February, the ornate shapes and intricate designs of the collection are based on vintage keys found in the Tiffany & Co. Archives. The originals were once used to unlock jewelry boxes, steamer trunks, country manors and secret diaries. Now they’re pendants that can be worn alone or mixed for a look that’s edgier and more youthful than one might expect to find coming from the company behind the little blue box. And while we were most enamored of the platinum and diamond Petals key pendant ($6,500), we were heartened to know that items from the collection start at $100 for a simple sterling key.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the next three Saturdays, stop by Tiffany & Co. locations in the Bay Area to view the new collection and work with guest fashion stylists to create your own look. In San Francisco, Tiffany & Co. is located at 350 Post St. For more information, vist the event page or contact the store at 415-781-7000.
