Monday, December 4th: Hear Budd MacKenzie Speak on Everyday Humanitarianism @ Commonwealth Club

Why: Start off your workweek with an empowering, enlightening, open-hearted fireside chat with Budd MacKenzie, as he discusses his work with women, children and the needy in war-torn Afghanistan. He will also limelight about what we can do to effectively help those who we may not know—but are an ocean's-length away. Tickets ($20) can be bought on Eventbrite; if you're a student or a member of the Commonwealth Club, the talk is free to attend.
Tuesday, December 5th: Ungulate Like a Jellyfish @ Union Square
When: 7:30pm to 9:30pm

Why: Come this Tuesday evening at Union Square, join a gaggle of other biophilic creatives and create an LED flash mob in an ode to everyone's favorite saline invertebrate—the jellyfish. Tickets ($65) can be bought on Airbnb, and each attendee will be given their own illuminated jellyfish puppet to both use at the event and later keep.
Wednesday, December 6th: See 'Prussian Blue' During Its Opening Week @ YBCA
When: 11:00am to 6:00pm (Gallery Hours)

Why: Assembled by the celebrated oil painter, Yishai Jusidman, Prussian Blue is a series of paintings using just one color—Prussian blue, one of the earliest pigments artificially developed and used by European painters—to visualize sites of the Holocaust. Tickets ($10) can be bought online at ybca.org or at the door.
Thursday, December 7th: See Golden Gate Park Light-up for the Holidays @ Conservatory of Flowers

Why: Swing by Golden Gate Park this Thursday night to see the Conservatory of Flowers become a canvass of sorts, danced by an LED light show to help celebrate the start of December. Admission is free, but space will undoubtedly be tight and precious to come by.
Friday, December 8th: Talk, Walk, and Drink Wine @ Fillmore Street
When: 4:00pm to 8:00pm
Where: 2001 Fillmore St. (Pacific Heights), eventbrite.com
Why: Sip and walk at this Friday's Fillmore holiday wine walk. The tasting event will include merchants offering wine samples inside their stores throughout Fillmore Street from Jackson to Eddy. Tickets ($25) can be bought on Eventbrite and include unlimited tasting and some merchandise swag.
Saturday, December 9th: See an Aerial 'Winter of Love' Show @ Circus Center

Why: Featuring Circus Center's faculty, advanced adult recreational students, and pre-professional youth program trainees, this family-friendly show will immerse you in the sights and sounds of high-flying aerialists and impossible acrobatics. Sunday, December 10th: Treat Your Eyes and Ears at 'Klimt and Rodin: A Musical Encounter' @ Legion of Honor
