Byredo's gift game is strong—fragrance, makeup and candles—and they're offering same-day delivery in San Francisco.

Plus, you can sign up for Clear, a service that helps you get through airport security faster, at the Rimowa store downtown and online reseller Mercari opens its first pop-up in Stonestown Galleria—perfect for recycling unwanted gifts.

First things first: Byredo is offering same-day delivery through Friday, Christmas Eve, in San Francisco. Order online or make a beeline to the luxe European lifestyle brand's Fillmore Street store to pick up any number of scrumptious genderless fragrances, candles, and makeup—many of which are festively packaged for the holidays.

Tops on our list: the new eau de parfum Mumbai Noise ($190), a love letter to the multifaceted modern Indian city. The scent is "crowded with contrasts of rich, warm woods and amber blended with brightness, plummy Davana and leather, and bitter coffee stirred with sweet tonka beans." The just-released Mad Red lipstick ($42), an intense, highly saturated raspberry red is also sure to elicit lots of smooches from smiley recipients. Along with the wow hue and feel-good formula, the silver/gold curvy case is beyond. Happy, merry, jolly, everybody.

Already thinking about gift returns? There's a Mercari pop-up for that.

Starting Wednesday, December 29th, online resale marketplace Mercari is dipping its toe into brick-and-mortar-ville with a pop-up at SF's Stonestown Galleria. The company plans to use it's first-ever foray into IRL shopping to educate people about how easy it is to sell secondhand and unused items, as well as the positive impact reselling has on the planet.

People are encouraged to bring in everything from everyday household items (toys, games, kitchenware, sports gear, home décor, clothing) to one-of-a-kind treasures; experts will assess the value of each piece.

Of course, the timing for this debut is no coincidence, says Mercari US CEO John Lagerling: "Our 2021 holiday report found that people will receive an average of 3.8 unwanted gifts this holiday season, which projects to almost a billion unused items sitting around American homes. Our hope is that people who visit our pop-up will see just how easy it is to sell on Mercari and walk away inspired to earn money from their unused items."

Alright, people, get your sh*t together.

Braving the airport for the holidays? Head to SF's Rimowa store first.

Yeah, sure, you can pick up a really cool premium aluminum suitcase but you can also do something else to make your travels smoother: Sign up for Clear, the expedited airport security program that uses touchless biometrics to verify your identity. Even though you still have to go through security (unlike TSA PreCheck), the process should be way faster thanks to dedicated lanes at 39 US airports, including SFO and Oakland.

Previously, signing up for the service had to be done at the airport. Now, you can just pop into the luggage store on Grant Street and access one of the Clear kiosks to add your biometrics and complete your membership with the help of a Clear rep. You can even start the process at home before finishing up in store if you prefer. Sounds like a plan to us.

// Clear hours at Rimowa: Monday to Friday 2pm–6pm; Saturday 11am–6pm; and Sunday noon–6pm. 222 Grant Ave, (FiDi), rimowa.com
