Enter the Bliss Zone That Is Carneros Resort's Revamped Spa

You won't technically get high on the CBD massages at the recently revamped spa at Napa's Carneros Resort.

But euphoria may well set in thanks to $3.5 million worth of all-new amenities and an inventive treatment menu including blissful zero gravity chairs, sound therapy, and LED light technology.

Unrecognizable from its original state, the Carneros Resort's 6,000-square-foot spa has been transformed into the ultimate relaxation station. Keeping with the modern-farmhouse aesthetic of the resort's cottages and Farm restaurant, the new spa has light-filled vaulted ceilings, a neutral color palette, and tranquil nooks both indoors and out—we love the large deck with cozy daybeds and vineyard views. New treatment rooms include a couple's suite with a private outdoor patio, a soaking tub, and shower; and a specialty suite with its own sauna, outdoor shower, and covered porch.

The revitalized treatment menu brims with one-of-a-kind, tech-infused offerings such as the Tune Me Up ($120). Like a power nap on steroids, the hour-long service means to detoxify, reduce inflammation, and improve mental clarity in a three-step process. You'll start in an infrared sauna, move on to the outdoor shower with a DIY rosemary scrub, and then fall asleep cocooned in a reclining zero gravity chair, soothed by healing music. Spa director Kristin Brock says that the time spent in the chair is roughly equivalent to two hours of precious sleep.

"The sound loungers are designed like a musical instrument; they cradle you in a soothing musical massage, and create a deep relaxation experience for the mind and body," says Brock. "The zero gravity position is excellent for increased circulation, enhanced awareness, and stress reduction. The harmonic music that you listen to on Bose headsets is very calming and grounding, allowing you to relax, let go, and feel more centered."

The Light Me Up treatment ($270/90 min.; $350/120 min.) utilizes LED light technology paired with a magnesium-rich oil to increase circulation, decrease inflammation, and relieve pain. This is followed by a massage and then a sound therapy session.

"The sound therapy produces a whole brain state where the left and right hemispheres are working in concert to facilitate deep relaxation," she explains. "The music is an extraordinary meditative tool. The deeply relaxing sound patterns will gently lead you into powerful, free-flow explorations and leave you centered, focused, and totally refreshed."

Body treatments use ingredients pulled right from the resort's half-acre culinary garden, and there are five original facials and nine massages to choose from. Heal Me ($185/60 min.; $275/90 min.) looks to relieve pain and sore muscles by incorporating warm camphor and a CBD salve.

A spa treatment at the Carneros Resort & Spa also gets you day access to the adults-only hilltop pool, complete with brand new cabanas and far-reaching Wine Country views. Say ahh.
