Experience Bay Area cuisine at its finest as The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco teams with local distillery St. George Spirits for one special meal with luxurious cocktail pairings.


On Wednesday April 24th, The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco is hosting an exclusive dinner in collaboration with master distiller Lance Winters and head distiller Dave Smith, the masterminds behind favorite Bay Area craft distillery St. George Spirits, who will showcase some of their most notable spirits.

Founded in 1982, St. George Spirits has grown from a dedicated eau de vie distillery into a diverse operation specializing in a range of artisanal spirits. The James Beard Foundation has recognized Winters' contributions to the spirits world with four consecutive nominations since 2016 in the category of Outstanding Wine, Beer, or Spirits Producer. With an arsenal of liquor ranging from single-malt whiskeys, absinthe, green chile vodka, and the acclaimed Terroir Gin, this evening guarantees something for every palate.

Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with a gin and caviar reception proceeded by a tasting menu curated by The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco's executive chef, Michael Rotondo. Chef Rotondo trained and worked alongside world-renowned chef Charlie Trotter for eight years before taking the helm at the luxury San Francisco hotel in 2013. Rotondo is known for designing globally inspired dishes centered on seasonal ingredients sourced from the Bay Area and surrounding regions. Dinner will be paired with cocktails created by lead bartender Bradford Faris, highlighting St. George's liquors as well as Rotondo's culinary creations.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy an exclusive insight into the story, vision, and passion behind the Alameda-based distillery as told by Winters and Smith. Craft spirit enthusiasts, cocktail lovers, and foodies alike will be buzzing about this unique experiential dinner.
