Country's First Hammock Cafe Seeks Valencia Street Home

By

If and when the revolution comes, everyone and everything on Valencia Street will be the first taken out back behind the shed. Until then, we implore you to check out the video for the impending Paresse Café, billed as the first cafe in the U.S. with hammocks. Perfect for San Francisco's aggressively casual lifestyle. Behold:

Still in its nascent stages—Paresse's Indigo campaign still seeks funding, should the mood strike—the cafe will be more than just a place to swing easy while sipping espresso. They also plan to be a free pick-up location for organic food directly from the farmer, feature "fish tanks with rescued fishes," offer dishes made with veggies grown by local farmers, and boast art, live bands, and more. Much more.

Themed cafes are a welcome break from the purist coffeehouses saturating San Francisco over the last few years. As you may recall, a cat cafe, called KitTea, will open its door in San Francisco. Part gourmet tea house and part cat and human oasis, KitTea plans on opening later this year in Hayes Valley.
