Hayes Valley get a new shop, Crafted by Vince pops up in the Bay + more local style news

Crafted by Vince pop-ups are bringing dreamy, limited edition hand-knit goods to Nordstrom stores in Corte Madera and Palo Alto through Sunday.

Plus, Hayes Valley welcomes organic-cotton clothier Pact and The Barlow launches a shopping site for days you can't make it to Sebastopol.

Holy crochet needle, Batman! Crafted by Vince pops up at two local Nordstrom stores.

We're not talking about your ordinary (but still fantastic) luxe Vince essentials here. Nope, the Norstrom pop-up shops at Village at Corte Madera and Stanford Shopping Center feature an exclusive collection of hand-knit pieces for men and women. Making its debut, Crafted by Vince is inspired by the brand's knitwear roots as well coastal California's effortless vibe. No surprise, the beachy and creamy palette is omg!

The capsule includes yummy crochet cardigans, ribbed cashmere turtlenecks, crews, scarves, gloves, and even home accessories (cozy cozies, anyone?). Our eye went straight to the sumptuous cardigan coat and charming handbag—both made in Peru. Don't dawdle on this one, though, as you only have through Sunday, November 14thto shop.

Hayes Valley shoppers have a new place to load up on organic-cotton goodies. Hi, Pact.

(Courtesy of Pact)

Just wondering if was a twist of fate that Pact—a brand that makes organic-cotton clothing for the whole family in Fair Trade Certified factories—landed directly across the street from Allbirds, a B Corp. (congrats on going public, y'all). We may need to start calling this little stretch of Hayes (near Gough) Eco Alley.

OK, back to the clothes. The pants, sweaters, hoodies, sleepwear, undies, etc. for the whole fam are reasonably priced, wearable, and hipster-ready. The storefront itself is clean and welcoming. Not sure where to begin? Check out the bestselling twill roll-up pants for women and men. They come in a bunch of colors, are crazy comfy, and trés versatile. Add a henley or flannel shirt, then grab a Blue Bottle espresso around the corner.

The Barlow wants you to drink, eat, shop and be merry virtually, too.

(Cynthia Glassell for The Barlow)

True story: It's impossible not to enjoy a visit to The Barlow, the buzzy outdoor market in Sebastopol. The fairly compact area includes 18 buildings along four city blocks, all filled with artisan makers selling everything from wine, cheese and spirits to clothing, homewares, bath goods, and more. Although not a substitute for an IRL experience, The Barlow's just-launched online marketplace gets close—especially for San Franciscans who might want to shop from home.

Over time, more makers will be curating their own sections on the site, but right now some of the goodies you'll find include eco-friendly clothing from Indigenous, hemp-based hair and skincare from For All Cares, candles and other gifty items from High Camp Supply, and art from various local talents at Gallery 360. We suggest making a beeline for the gift ideas section 'cause, you know.
