1. Raven's Grand Opening Bash: The Folsom corridor between 7th and 8th has added another cool bar to its ranks. Raven has two personalities in its two stories: the downstairs is a charming craft-cocktail bar with a hip, speakeasy vibe, while the upper level is a high-energy dance club, complete with disco ball. To celebrate their grand opening, the Raven folks are throwing a party, with complimentary Tres Agaves tequila cocktails, appetizers, and a DJ spinning. Admission is free, but space is limited; RSVP here to get on the list. (Thursday, April 5, 6-8 pm, at Raven, 1151 Folsom St., SOMA.)
2. The Unresolved Love Life of Evelyn Lee Opens: As bar names go, they don't get stranger than The Unresolved Love Life of Evelyn Lee, which is named for either a friend of the owners or the 1860s-era madam of an SF brothel, depending on your source. (Hopefully not both.) But while the name may be weird, this spot from the folks behind Thieves Tavern and Dear Mom is a classic dive, with draft beers, cocktails, flat-screen TVs, and pinball. We'll drink to that. (Daily, 5 pm-2 am, 491 Potrero Ave., Mission.)
3. Booze, Books, and Babes: Literary-minded ladies won't want to miss Stolichnaya Vodka and Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur's Saturday-afternoon happy hour at Two Sisters Bar & Books, which will feature a trunk show from neighboring Azil Boutique and plenty of chatter around the bar's built-in library. A special menu of cocktails will be offered at stellar discounts for the occasion. Entry is free-- just be sure to RSVP to get on the guest list. (Saturday, April 7, 1-4 pm, at Two Sisters Bar & Books, 579 Hayes St., Hayes Valley.)
4. Johnnie Walker Private Whisky Tastings: Only a few months after their last SF sojourn, Johnnie Walker is back in town for another evening of education and free whisky sampling with one of the brand's Masters of Whisky. Many of the tastings have already been booked up, but we're told there's still space in the 9 pm tastings tonight and Thursday, as well as the 10 pm tasting on Saturday night. (Free whisky is harder than it looks.) Head over to their website to book your spot. (Wednesday, April 4, 9 pm; Thursday, April 5, 9 pm; Saturday, April 7, 10 pm, at Fort Mason Center, Landmark Building A, Marina.)
5. Blow Pop Happy Hour: No plans tonight? Consider swinging by Blowfish sushi for their monthly musical happy hour, with Vetiver taking over the decks to spin their favorite songs. Throw in a couple of $6 Stoli specialty cocktails and some sushi, and you'll be fortified to tackle the rest of the week. RSVP here to get in. (Wednesday, April 4, 6-9 pm, at Blowfish Sushi to Die For, 2170 Bryant St., Mission.)
