1. High on the Hog at Epic Roasthouse: With its epic views of the Bay Bridge, Epic Roasthouse is a fantastic spot to throw an outdoor summer party-- which is why they're doing exactly that on Saturday afternoon, celebrating the twin joys of pork and pinot noir. A dozen different wineries, from Calera to Kutch, will be on hand, alongside dishes like porchetta, spare ribs, roasted clams with pork jowl, and homemade maple-bacon ice cream cones. Joey Altman and the Soul Peppers will add their brand of rock and soul-influenced music. Tickets are $75, and include tax and gratuity. (Saturday, June 30, 1-4 pm, at Epic Roasthouse, 369 The Embarcadero South, Embarcadero.)
2. Tiny Tinis at Monarch: Drinking with a big group of friends is usually much more fun than tippling by yourself, which is why group bottled cocktails and punches have become increasingly popular. Monarch is entering the fray with their Friday cocktail-carafe happy hour, which serves a group in three sizes: small (3 drinks, $15), medium (4 drinks, $20), or large (6 drinks, $35). Each carafe is accompanied by mini glassware, allowing drinkers to serve smaller portions to a larger group and sample multiple flavors. The options include South of Summer (sage lemonade, orange vodka, lime, mint), Ginger Bee #2 (vodka, honey syrup, ginger beer, bitters), and Comin' in Hot (jalapeno-infused tequila, pineapple juice, lime, maple syrup, cayenne salt rim). (Fridays, 5:30-8:30 pm, at Monarch, 101 6th St., SOMA.)
3. Nombe's Japanese Beer Garden: Nombe, the Japanese izakaya in the Mission, is decamping a block away to Wix Lounge's rooftop for an Eastern take on the beer garden. The $50 admission ($60 at the door) includes three pints of draft beer (Kirin, Asahi, or Sapporo), as well as a plethora of food, including hand-rolled sushi, grilled Kurobuta pork belly, oysters on the half shell, chicken wings, and fried baby potatoes with soy butter. A portion of the proceeds will benefit La Cocina. (Friday, June 29th, 5-8 pm, at Wix Lounge, 2601 Mission St., Mission.)
4. Best of the Bay Area Party: The folks over at San Francisco magazine are throwing their annual big bash on Thursday, with food from over 40 local restaurants, 12 open bars, and a wine lounge featuring a dozen of the Bay Area's best vintners. They'll also have a big raffle to benefit Family House, three DJs, and a live band. Tickets for this bacchanal are not cheap ($100 general admission and $175 VIP, which includes admission an hour early and a lounge with reserve wines and spirits), but if you can afford it, you're guaranteed to leave a little less sober than you came. (Thursday, June 28, 6-10 pm, at City View at the Metreon, 135 4th St., SOMA.)
5. Pink Mammoth Burning Man Fundraiser: The folks behind the Pink Mammoth camp at Burning Man are holding their annual camp fundraiser, which promises plenty of dancing with tunes by the camp's DJs (including a headphones-only silent disco centered outside of the club). The $10 admission includes free "playa punch" from 9-10:30 pm, food from Kitchenette and Living Room Events, and gratis Ben & Jerry's ice cream cones and buckets. They'll channel the funds into a new sound system and a fully-stocked bar in Black Rock City. (Saturday, June 30, 9 pm-2 am, at Mighty, 119 Utah St., Potrero Hill.)
