1) Tornado Relief from Negroni
You can take the boy out of Oklahoma, but you can’t take Oklahoma out of the boy. Comstock Saloon owner Jonny Raglin, born and raised in the Panhandle State, is partnering with local bars to raise funds for victims of the recent tornados in Oklahoma. You can pitch in by drinking at “Negroni Happy Hours” around town this week, where 100% of Negroni cocktail sales from 5 to 7 pm will be donated to the Oklahoma chapter of the American Red Cross. Rye (688 Geary @ Leavenworth) hosts on Wednesday, and Elixir (3200 16th @ Guerrero) joins the action on Thursday, from 5pm to 9pm. Friday’s location is Trick Dog (3010 20th St. @ Florida); Romolo (15 Romolo @ Broadway) hosts on Saturday. On Sunday, Local Edition (691 Market @ 3rd/Kearney) will be throwing a honky-tonk themed Negroni party from 5 - 9pm. DJ Blaze Orange will be spinning old country vinyl, and Comstock Saloon’s notorious Four Roses whiskey boots will waltz down Kearney to help you kick up your heels. A $25 donation at the door includes your first drink. All proceeds will be donated to the cause.
