Chez Maman West opened its doors on Monday and are offering dinner specials all week. Showcasing delicious French appetizers, their signature items are mussels, steak frites, crêpes and mahi-mahi. To add further variety, a section of the menu will offer tacos, burritos and quesadillas from their sister restaurant, Papito. As well as the delicious food options, there are also an exciting array of drinks to choose from including specialty coffees and teas, plus 20 red wines, 20 white wines, margaritas, Bloody Marys and homemade sangria - the majority of the wines on offer are French. They are open Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. 401 Gough Street.

Soak in some sun, great tunes and fantastic food at the Phono Del Sol Festival on Potrero Hill. The all-day festival is co-headlined by The Fresh & Onlys and Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and also includes performances by a plethora of other local bands. If you’re feeling hungry there will be eight food trucks on site to satiate and feed you, as well as a wide assortment of beers and wines. The festival costs $10 and tickets can be purchased here. Chefs, Ian Mullen (Fifth Floor) and Ryan Baker (Delfina) are cooking up a Californian summer feast. The five course dinner is a celebration of summer and the bounty of the “Golden State”. From the sea to the Sierras, chefs Mullen and Baker will be designing a five-course menu that showcases many of the famed farming and foraging regions of our home state. Tickets cost $75 from here and include food, but you need to BYOB. There are two different sittings, either at 6:30 p.m. or 9 p.m. 945 Valencia Street.

Ever wondered exactly where the vegetables you eat come from? CUESA are organising a field-to-jar experience to help you connect to where your veggies grow and how to preserve them for later. Meeting at the Ferry Plaza, a bus will take participants first to an organic farm, which grows over 200 varieties of herbs and vegetables. The tour will then head over to the redwoods for a sauerkraut class with Kathryn Lukas of Farmhouse Culture. The class will cover the basics of sauerkraut and fermentation. The cost of the tour is $35, which covers snacks, lunch, the class, and a jar of sauerkraut to take home , and tickets can be purchased here. Meet @ the south end of the Ferry Building at 8:45 a.m. for a 9 a.m. departure.
In keeping with the theme of exploration and discovery, ForageSF are offering a 'Wild Food Walk' around San Francisco. The aim of the walk is to teach people what is edible in their local landscape as well as educating them to look at their surroundings in a different way. Through the guided walk, you will learn to identify some of the wild edibles you see every day, with a focus on sustainable harvesting techniques, as well as the history of foraging in the Bay Area. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here. The walk goes from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and its location will be provided in an email after purchasing a ticket.

Calling all Bay Area pork lovers. April Bloomfield, chef of New York's Spotted Pig and The Breslin is in town promoting her new book and cooking up a storm. In her book, ‘A Girl and Her Pig’, April takes cooks on an intimate tour of the food that has made her a star. Other than talking guests through her book and the recipes in it, April will also be cooking up a delicious three course meal. The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. and costs $100, including wine.
