Being lost in Golden Gate Park (I know it's happened to all of you), just got more entertaining. The California Academy of Sciences unveiled its Golden Gate Park Field Guide app today, a cool tool that helps you discover what lies within that 1,017-acre urban oasis of ours. Apparently there are wild coyotes in the park, which are one of the 170 plant and animal species highlighted in the app's Field Guide. The app also features tour routes for foot, bicycle or car and the opportunity to unleash your inner Dora the Explorer and add your own sightings and photos to its growing database. Try it out (it's $2.99, but early birds can download it free for a limited time) and tell us what you think.
Note: the app doesn't actually predict where the fog is.
